On our website we would like to give you the opportunity to inform yourself about our holistic biological therapy concept and to get to know Dr. Peter Gerstenberg and his team. On the following pages we will inform you about Biological Dentistry, Ceramic Implantation and Vital Aesthetics and give you a completely new view of biological-medical connections.

LABORATORY AND MEETING

Our practice, including our own CAD/CAM dental laboratory, covers an area of approx. 210 m² on two levels. On this floor are the reception, the waiting area, three treatment rooms including the operating room, the conference room and - very important - our 3-D computer tomography (DVT), especially for our health "epicentre" teeth, jaws and their important adjacent structures.

On the lower floor you will find our practice's own dental laboratory, where all dental technical work is individually produced for our patients. An innovative way of working is of great importance to us and digital dental technology has taken a permanent place in our practice.

With us, you will receive comprehensive advice and support from our team, from the first appointment to the operation.

In our practice, you can expect an extensively trained practice team of dental assistants, dental hygienists, dental technicians and practice managers. A stylishly furnished interior with a feel-good atmosphere will not let the first impression fade. We place special emphasis on the visual; atmospheric colours, shapes and a modern picture gallery. We work closely with doctors and alternative practitioners who are well aware of the central importance of the mouth for overall well-being as well as our therapeutic approach. Our dental diagnostics, planning and treatment are all carried out under one roof and from a single source, so there is no need for tiresome referrals to other doctors and even extensive treatments can be completed in just a few, even longer, appointments.

At the end of my dental studies, I stood where most dentists still stand today. We regarded caries, crooked teeth and inflamed gums as more or less normal, as inevitable fate, according to the motto: If everyone has it, it's normal. We had come to terms with the fact that teeth would not last a lifetime and set about repairing this "error of nature" by learning how to make third teeth, close cavities with mercury fillings, kill painful teeth and straighten crooked teeth mechanically with a variety of braces. Periodontal disease, we thought, was an oral hygiene problem, treated purely locally and understood the immunological aspects only rudimentarily.

Lacking better knowledge and relying on what I had been taught at university, I believed that caries was the result of fluoride deficiency. I, like all the other doctors, learned approximately nothing about the importance of food on health and oral health.

During my dental studies in Hamburg, I quickly realized that conventional teaching often only deals with the symptoms and makes little connection to the entire body. Dentists are primarily trained to treat dental problems, but there is often little time to find and correct the actual causes. The current system does not leave enough room for thorough examinations, detailed consultations and comprehensive patient education.

These restrictions led me to rethink my thinking. The holistic concept of Dr. Gerstenberg showed me a different and more sensible path. Holistic dentistry, which looks at people as a whole, became the focus of my work. It is important to me to promote not only the dental health but also the general well-being of my patients.

My goal is that after treatment the teeth are the same as they were before the defect. By combining the two worlds as a dental technician and dentist, especially in the field of biological dentistry, I can reconstruct teeth realistically and with biocompatible materials so that they correspond biologically, aesthetically and mechanically to the real tooth. This philosophy has shaped my work since day one as a dentist and enables successful and health-promoting treatment.
